Last five months were intensive, interesting and represent significant changes for .NET Micro Framework. This cool technology moved from research into Developer Division and become license free. Such a important way was beset by different rumors and expectations. Everything is clear now, so let's make short recap.

6th May - ZDnet article rumoring that Microsoft is withdrawing from business with .NET Micro Framework.

7th May - The update was made to article that Microsoft is continuing to support .NET Micro Framework.

15th May - Community (OEMs, Manufacturers, Users) preparing open letter to Craig Mundie, requesting clear statement from Microsoft.

19th May - Open Letter form .NET Micro Framework community was sent to Mr. Mundie.

2nd June - Community call with Colin Miller regarding the future of Micro Framework and role of the community.

4th June - Meridian /P, the new tiny hardware from Device Solutions is shipping.

5th July - GHI announced new ChipworkX hardware with support for SQLlite databases.

6th July - Jens Kuhner announcing his Rich Media Library for .NET Micro Framework.

12th August - Second edition of Expert .NET Micro Framework from Jens Kuhner is done.

25th August - Dare to Dream Different winners are announced.

28th August - Official response from Craig Mundie was sent to community members.

4th September - Beta version of .NET Micro Framework 4.0 is published on connect site.

16th September - Amazon ships Expert .NET Micro Framework second edition.

24th September - Refresh to beta version of .NET Micro Framework 4.0 is published on connect site.

As you can see the future of .NET Micro Framework is bright. New cool products based on it are build, OEMs are working on new interesting hardware and people keep blogging. I hope to see all friends of .NET Micro Framework on Embedded World 2010 in Nurnmberg.
